saltdawg: (burn day)
[personal profile] saltdawg
I just had to do a minor flist defenestration. I had a drunken epiphany last night, shortly after talking to [profile] morty_baby for the seventeenth time. I realized that I've made some really good friends and admirable aquaintances in real life from the whole cloth of Live Journal. And I realized that those real-life connections are hobbling the freedom I once enjoyed in these pages. So I cut out (most) of the people I've formed and/or ruined real life relationships with. And their close friends, weather I know them or not. Because I'm a narcissist and believe that it's all about me.

I'd like to say that it's not personal, but I can't. This is extremely personal with extreme prejudice...

But even still, if you got the axe, my intentions aren't malicious. Just self-centered and selfish. Because that's how I roll.

(and those of you who I've spent IRL time with who are still around? Draw your own conclusions, because I'm not going to say it.)

In other earthshaking news, I am now officially a resident of Florida. Suck it Rhode Island income taxes!

ETA: I shall maintain my policy of leaving the posts which feel substantial "public."

with 90% of the people on my Facebook, I always think, "You know, I love you and I'm glad to know you, but you will NEVER be on my LJ!"

I'm still facebooked with most of the defenestratd anyway, so I don't think anyone should really care.

But, yeah. There is NO LJ links on my FB. The "friends" over there are already horrified enough by who I am, they'd probably want to crucify me if they read this crap. Especially the stuff I write about them here.

That is the absolute truth.

Hahaha. Hmm. Well, they ARE really fun but I don't know. Mine's been in a duffel bag for over a year and I haven't even considered hooking it up to a TV in all that time. But if I didn't have a 360, I would probably use the Wii a lot. Most of the stuff on the Wii is 'kids' games (in my estimation) and at least for me the motion control stuff is often juuuust inaccurate enough to piss me off on fast games. I guess if you have people over a lot and there's drinking involved, you'd probably get more mileage out of the Wii than like a PS3 or 360. Somebody said:

If you have real-life friends, get a Wii.
If you have online friends, get a 360.
If you have no friends whatsoever, get a PS3*

*Although this has changed a lot more recently with the advent of a lot of online features PS3 didn't have a year ago.

My obsession with the Wii ended when I discovered I could buy one of these for aproximately the same price:

Which would then fit into one of these belt buckles, like so:
