Here, you have to have one to even fire at a range. Only in the suburbss, of course, handguns being illegal in the city limits.
I've always wanted to learn how to shoot. My gun-owning friends would never take me; they said it was because I startle too easily, but I'm pretty sure it was because I wasn't as hot as the Russian chick they ended up taking instead.
